By this time in Monica's life I had been writing monthly posts about her progress and growth. Along comes child number two and I'm already dropping the ball. Good thing I didn't hold on to any fantasies that I would treat all my children same. In fact, I plan to (and already do) treat them differently because they are DIFFERENT.
Since this blog is really more of an online scrapbook for me to look back on I do want to get some details about Peter posted before I forget.
For the first three months of his life Peter was plagued by his guts! The combination of things I ate and his tummy produced a LOT of painful gas. After much experimentation with my diet and every gas remedy we found we determined two things. 1. He may be allergic to nuts (like his dad) so now they are out of my diet too. 2. We just had to wait until his guts matured. He's still a gassy guy, but it does not cause him the pain it did before. Today in church he was just letting them go and he's pretty stinking. I had to resist the urge to whisper to everyone around us, "It's my kid- not me!"
Now that we are over those tricky first three months, we are enjoying the carefree and happy personality we always knew he had. He is SO smiley. Really, really smiley. All you have to do is look at him. He's ticklish and laughs at most silly faces and sounds. He is so easy going and patient (typical #2).
So far he has rolled from front to back and back to front, but not a full rotation yet. He LOVES his jumper and watching anything that moves (most especially his big sis). His newest trick is sucking on his toes and I'm pretty sure teeth are not that far down the road.
Oh, and he's a pincher. I have the bruises to prove it!
He will be 5 months soon which I can hardly believe. I also can't imagine life without our precious, cuddly, happy boy!
