Peter Patrick Souza!

In God's perfect and surprising timing, Peter Patrick made his quick entrance into the post womb world at 4:39 am on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013.  Weighing 8lbs 13 oz and measuring 21 inches in length, he got a lot of "big baby" comments.  Compared to our other "baby" he sure seems tiny and Monica now feels super heavy.

I started labor at 10 pm the night before, arrived at the hospital at quarter to 4 in the morning and less than an hour later he was here.  It was love at first glance and he has been a cuddly, peaceful and wonderful baby ever since. 

Monica has been nothing but loving to him (maybe a little too loving considering she has a mild cold right now), wanting to give hugs and kisses.  She asks to "hold baby" a lot, insists that he wear his hat and tells us to shh when he is sleeping.  We are grateful that, at least for now, the addition of Peter is a positive one in her eyes.

My mom and dad have been here caring for our whole family, cooking and cleaning and being a great support.  We are SO GRATEFUL for the help.
