36 Weeks
Here are the latest pregnancy pictures. Yep, that big, and I still have four weeks to go! It's hysterical the comments one gets when pregnant. The only people who should be excused from the 'make no size comments to the pregnant lady' rule are kids or senile adults. Feminism should have beaten out of any man the desire to make a comment about a woman's appearance. :o) Women (especially those who have had kids) should just know better. Do people honestly think that a pregnant women doesn't know she looks large? I subbed the other day and was asked if I was going to make it through the day before the baby comes. Noooooo, it would be my ideal to go into labor at a school I've never been to before. :o) It took 5 months before people could tell I was pregnant and not just carrying extra belly weight and exactly 5 1/2 months before I got my "you must be due any day" comment. The only safe comment to give a pregnant woman (or any woman for that matter) is "you look beautiful." All joking aside, I think my daughter and I look pretty cute together, whale size and all. Her latest skill is knocking me in the ribs and pelvis at the same time. She's coordinated! We are getting more excited everyday. We happily accept prayers for a smooth labor and healthy baby.

Looking great Annie! Don't you just LOVE the kicks in the pelvis. Zeta is really low (so was Maggie) so I get lots of kicks down low....not too many in the ribs!
ReplyDeleteAs far as comments go - I actually got asked when I was due when I wasn't even pregnant!!!! This was when Maggie was 13 months old! And to top it off it was from a large woman in a t-shirt and sweatpants at the Casino! Maybe she fell in the senile adult category!
I love the picture, you do look SSSOOO beautiful!! You, but the boys especially, liked to knock into my ribs! After the delivery, my ribs were sore for weeks after. She will arrive when she is darn well ready!!
ReplyDeleteYou look good preggo!! Can't wait to meet Monica! I love the sarcasm. Ha ha ha! Glad she's coordinated. Maybe that means she'll be a great organist or drummer.
ReplyDeleteI think you look gorgeous! You look so healthy and I can't wait to meet Monica some day! Maybe she will be a Ninja with all the kicking! :)God Bless you guys!
ReplyDeleteDo you know that you, your mom, my mom, and me all have shared this birthing experience all at the same time? And my mom did it twice in the same week - 1954 & 1949 !
ReplyDeleteMe in 1980!
Your mom in 1985!
Wish I could find my photos fast enough to post for you!
My BEST pregnancy story was on February 15, 1980. My original due date. Casablanca was playing at the original Chicago Library building downtown. I was living at Irving Park and Narraganset. I put on my grandmothers heavy black curly lambswool coat which must have weighed 75 lbs itself and took the bus downtown to see my favorite movie. I climbed all the stairs into the little theatre which of course had mostly senior citizens in attendance. The man next to me after I had finally settled my bulk and the coat into a seat politely asked, with a worried look on his face When are you due? I responded with a smile: You don't want to know!
