8 months!

Peter's changes since the last post about him. . . umm, 3 months ago.

Went on two trips, did GREAT on both.

Sits up by himself.

Scoots on his belly for things he really wants like food or my cell phone.

Babbles constantly, a lot of da da da da da.

Has four teeth, two on bottom and two on top, but he threw us for a loop- he's a vampire babe.

Eats solid foods- literally. I've changed it up this time and he's eating mostly read food instead of real food turned mush.  He LOVES to eat.

Still such a happy guy, fusses little, laughs a lot.

We are so blessed!  Happy 8 months Peter!

Kids say the darnedest things

I have been itching to start Monica quote posts after reading the funny things all my friends' kids say.  She really does lighten our lives with her ever growing vocabulary and understanding (or lack there of).

When Peter was first born we would joke that she was "attacking" Peter because she came at him with such fierce love.  One day we were asking her to come to the table for dinner.  Her response, "No, I'm attacking Peter."  Guess it was time to change the verb.

I was sick with strep throat last week and everyday Monica asked,
"You still sick?"
"Yes, love, I'm still sick."
"I'm not sick, I'm just . . . happy!"

After working out, I picked the kids up from babysitting.
"Monica, you did such a good job at babysitting, I'm so proud of you!"
She grabs and hugs my leg.  "You're pretty, mom."
"I'm pretty?! (surprised because she's never said anything like that) Why thank you!"
"No, mom, You're SWEATY."
Oh, thanks.

Out of nowhere at the dinner table to Tony . . .
"Your hair is brown!"
"Yes, it is brown."
"Your poopies are brown, too!"
Oh boy . . .
