Annie you look great!!!!! Hang in there - Maggie was 5 days late so I know all about working on patients. Also I too am against induction so keep strong and push your doctor to wait to induce until you are at least 2 weeks past your due date and hopefully you won't need to wait that long. Can't wait to see Monica!
bummer that monica and avila won't share a birthday! let me know if you need anything. we did bradley and I LOVED it. just remember to let go and when it gets really hard that means the baby is right around the corner! and I agree with the above - wait as along as possible before inducing. still praying for you! can't wait!!!
Aidan was 2 days late. And I remember that I almost convinced myself that I would be the very first person to stay pregnant forever. I will pray that you won't have to be induced!
Praying for you all, Annie! One great thing is that God truly did make our bodies with the ability to get through labor and bring a new life in to the world; you just have to get through it the best way you can. Cling to Christ on the cross, cling to your husband, and get ready for the most amazing day of your life! :)
Oh, and another little note: being "induced" isn't all that bad...IF your body has already begun to show signs that it's ready for labor (ie: dilating, effacing, contractions). I put it in quotes because I think that at this point it's not really a textbook definition of induction, since your body has already started along the path of labor. My OB put me on pitocin with both babies, and although I will be a much stronger advocate against it whenever the next one comes along, in my experience it wasn't that terrible. And since I have nothing to compare it to, I can't say whether or not I thought that it made my labors either more intense or more painful (as it's said to do). Worked out OK for us... :)
